What is this thing called ‘glamping’?
Glamping is short for ‘glamorous camping’. It is about having all the fun bits of camping but being a bit more comfortable. Things like a real bed and bedding, proper plates and cutlery, comfortable chairs and of course having someone do the set up for you all help to turn the more tedious bits of camping into something fun and memorable.

I hate camping, so why would I want this?
If it is sinking airbeds and musty sleeping bags you hate then you will love the quality bedding and custom mattress in our caravans. If it is wrestling with a tent and arguing with your partner over which pole goes where that you hate then you will love arriving to your campsite to find it all set up for you. If it’s the packing up, trying to fit it all back in the car and dealing with it all when you get home you hate, then you will love being able to walk away with your relaxed state intact while we come and pack it up for you!

Where are you?
We are a mobile service, based at the north end of Byron Shire. Our main areas for set up are Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby. Prices include delivery from Tweed Heads to Lennox Head and we can also set up on the Gold Coast or a little further afield for a small travel fee.

Where is the best campsite?
There are so many great choices and they all have different things going for them so that is actually a really hard question. Of course I have my favourites but it really depends what you want out of your holiday. Do you want right on the beach? Walk to cafes? Activities for kids? Away from town? Check out our locations page for a brief description on many of our local parks or let me know what you want out of a park and I will do my best to make a recommendation.

Can I tow one of your vintage caravans?
Currently we only offer our complete set up on your preferred site as we have put so much work into them and can’t adequately insure them for others to tow.

Can you set up a van on my property?
Yes we can! Our RetroPods are a great solution for providing guests with their own comfortable space at your place for both events and special visitors.

Can I hire for one night?
Yes you can …. but the price will be the same as two nights. This is because the delivery, set up and cleaning are all built into the first two nights hire cost, which is the same amount of work if you only hire for one night, but unlike some others we offer a lower price for additional nights making it much more affordable to stay a bit longer. Longer minimums may apply during peak seasons.

What do I need to bring?
We have you covered for bedding, bath towels. You will need to bring your own beach towels, food, clothes and personal items. Due to safety concerns our Caravans are not equipped with a hotplate or gas burner, but we do include saucepans and BBQ tools as most holiday parks have camp kitchen facilities and we also have a BBQ available to hire for cooking at your site. All the other kitchen basics are included (tea & coffee making, plates, cups, cutlery, dishwashing). See our extras page for BBQ hire.

How do I book?
Get in touch to confirm availability and put a hold on your favourite glamping option. Book your site. Finalise payment and details with us. Turn up to a fully set up campsite!
